AGA MUHLACH VISITED THE SHRINE

Yes, the one and only AGA MUHLACH...the Philippines' prime actor visited the shrine last October 12, 2008. He attended the Children's mass at 4:00pm. It was made possible through the invitation of Fr. Leo Schmitt, SVD. Aga was the donor of the huge statue image of our Patron, Saint Arnold Janssen which was placed near the shrine door...Aga Muhlach proved he is not only an actor but also a man of God...

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES

February 11 is the Feast Day of OUR LADY OF LOURDES. It is also the World Day of the Sick. We held a procession in our shrine at 4:30 in the afternoon - from the shrine going to Suburban/Accessoria then back to the shrine. Fr. Leo Schmitt, SVD, and Fr. Bong Bongayan, SVD joined in the procession. The Extra-Ordinary
Ministers of the Holy Communion (EMHC) were assigned to pull the karosa of Our Lady. The Mother Butlers Guild, Lectors Ministry, Social Service Ministry, Knights of the Altar, and other mandated organizations participated. The 6:00 pm Mass is a HEALING MASS. Many parishioners attended the mass and all were filled with God's healing through the intercession of Mother Mary, the Immaculate Conception...

PARISH FIESTA PROCESSION

Every 15th of January, we celebrate the Feast Day of our Patron, Saint Arnold Janssen. This year, it falls on Thursday. We held a procession at 5:00pm, before the 6:00pm televised mass. The Fiesta celebration was indeed successful. Truly, God works in wondrous ways!

BASIL VALDEZ CONCERT IN THE SHRINE

Basil Valdez had his 27th SALMO Inspirational Benefit Concert at St. Arnold Janssen Shrine in Cainta, Rizal last January 24, 2009. SALMO stands for "Sundin ang Loob Mo." According to Miss Joy Delarmente, the concert started in 1994. At present, it was already heard in several Churches in Metro Manila, Cabanatuan City , Cavite , Laguna, Cebu and Iloilo and even abroad! The concert producer organizes the concert to raise funds for charitable projects, and at the same time to share the good music of the performer whose talent and generosity help serves the purpose of the producer.

The concert at the Shrine was staged for the completion of the Shrine construction.


Benedict, our seasoned Shrine Lector was the emcee of the evening and he did his assigment so well.
